Senator Scott Brown and NDAA 2012

Many in congress realize that there is terrible, potentially unconstitutional language in NDAA 2012 that could be interpreted as to allow the federal government to us the U.S. military to detain U.S. Citizens, on U.S. Soil, and hold them for life; deprive them of the due process guaranteed us by the Constitution.
Senator Brown voted in favor of NDAA.  We give him the benefit of the doubt that he believed this was 'good' legislation when he voted for it.  But, it should be clear to everyone at this point that, at a minimum, there is terrible ambiguity in this bill.  Many in congress are working on correcting the controversial language to ensure this bill cannot to be used to deprive U.S. citizens of their constitutional rights.
We emailed Senator Brown on this issue over a month ago, and while he's responded to all of our emails in the past, he has not responded when asked if he will join the effort to fix this legislation.  This, to say the least, is very disappointing.  Our elected officials are sworn to uphold the Constitution.  You would hope, and expect, that in a case like this, they would take that oath to heart.  We don't know why Senator Brown is choosing to remain silent on this issue.
If you are as troubled as we are by this issue, we urge you to email Senator Brown and urge him to support the effort to 'fix' this bill.
If we ever do get response from Senator Brown, we will be sure to share his response here.

Taking back this state from the Liberals; 8 months and counting

Mass. GOP chair concedes he gave money to Democrats

I've been hearing people within the GOP making excuses for this. There is no excuse for this. I know people that volunteered hundreds of hours for Baker while Maginn was donating to the campaign to reelect Deval Patrick! If the GOP is going to circle the wagons on this one and put Party above principle, they're going to turn away a LOT of people. Will you give them a pass on this?

Welcome to Massachusetts Conservative

This site is a result of the sobering loses suffered by so many great candidates in the 2010 mid-term elections in the state of Massachusetts.  So many of us were convinced that the “Scott Brown effect” was going to deliver unprecedented wins across the commonwealth.  Despite record turnout, our hopes of breaking the Liberal Democrat stranglehold on this state were dashed.

While the Tea Party movement helped deliver historic results nationally, their great work was not enough to turn around our fair commonwealth.  The goal of this site is to provide further organization and support for all Massachusetts Conservatives, and for Conservative candidates in 2012 and beyond.

As Sam Adams said, “It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.“.

Are you an “irate minority”?  If so, you've come to the right place.  If you’d like to be a part of an effort to turn this state around, please join us.  Register on this site, Like our Facebook page and stay tuned.  Together we can take this state back.

"Free enterprise has done more to reduce poverty than all the government programs dreamed up by Democrats."
